Property Data was established by Mark Pickering in 1991. The company initially published data on commercial property investors, developers and housebuilders. In 2000 an online commercial investment transactions database was launched in partnership with Chris Bullock
Property Data's investment service became the acknowledged market leader in deal capture and over a twenty-year period recorded 60,000 UK commercial investment transactions with a value of £1 Trillion.
In 2021, the original business, PropertyData.com Ltd, was acquired by MSCI. However, the PropertyData.com domain and brand were retained by the founder, and in October 2024, the investment transaction service was relaunched under independent ownership, with a renewed focus on speed, clarity, and high-grade market intelligence.
Today, Property Data is once again delivering best-in-class investment data, used daily by leading property investors, agents, and advisors across the UK.
